Apartment 100 meters away from the beach, with 2 double beds and a sofa bed. Located in Gaia. 100 meters from the beach and 200 meters from the train station that can take you to Porto (20 minutes' drive). The European Best Destinations contest selected Miramar beach in 2015 as one of the 15 most beautiful beaches in Europe. Miramar is a small town located about 10 km south of Porto, in the municipality of VN Gaia. It is one of the quietest beaches near the Greater Porto. Sometimes the only noise is the birds. In addition to the magpie, there are several green parrots in the street trees. The main characteristics of the beach include an extensive sand, a relatively calm sea and a beautiful chapel built on top of rocks, providing an incredible landscape at sunset. In the last century, the houses, still existing, were beach houses of the bourgeoisie of Porto. Nowadays houses have become permanent homes because there are better access roads to Porto, more people have cars and there has been a modernization of the railway.
